HOW AN ORGY OF GREED IS UNDERMINING THE CAMPAIGN FOR EQUAL PARENTING

They say money is the root of all evil. When it comes to family law, my only motto is, ‘follow the money’.

Watch where it flows, who it goes to, who is riding the gravy train and who has their fingers in the till.

Child’s best interests? It’s a sick joke. A wicked deceit. Like banksters and gangsters, it’s all about one interest – self interest. And like most of the British establishment, family law is so rotten to the core you cannot change it on the inside without ending up rotten yourself.

Like a disease, it robs you of your morality and principles before it sucks you dry of every last belief you ever clung to.

Sure, you keep pretending you ‘make a difference’ as you worm your way through the system before another government comes along and replaces you with yet another hapless patsy group.

Because that is the way it goes.

So who profits from this? It’s the only question you need to ask. No matter how nice the people are and how beautiful the mood music is that they play, when these guys are exposed, it can get ugly. One group even threatened handbagging Nadine O’Connor this week after she had the temerity to ask some simple questions. We didn’t know they had seats booked on the gravy train. But when it pays the mortgage, the bills etc. Who can blame them?

Government also likes to profit from a bit of family breakdown. People have to buy two of everything – two houses, two cars, two TV’s, two freezers – what’s not to like when your economy is in the toilet?

And when it comes to the motley assortment of one man and two man bands who represent no one apart from their own self-interests, instead of spitting blood at the injustice of the monstrous and barbaric regime that is our family courts which are blighting the lives of an entire generation, they are rapaciously gobbling up taxpayers money funneled through their government paymasters.

It is an orgy of greed at the expense of desperate dads and broken children.

They profit directly from family breakdown. What incentive is there for them to campaign against it? None. Which is why they don’t campaign. It appears nobody on these committees is above being pulled into a sordid pit of moral squalor, greed and amorality before selling dads down the river again and again and again.

You ask me why nothing has changed in 30 years?

I lay the blame at the feet of collaborators like this. Backbones of a jellyfish, morality of used car salesmen. These people are supposed to give a voice to families and fathers – instead they profit directly from a production line of misery.

At Fathers4Justice we exist to put ourselves out of a job. At these other groups, they exist to keep themselves in a job.

They know the price of everything. And the value of nothing.

Despairingly, Matt O’Connor
